Location Santiago is the capital city of the Metropolitan Region of Chile. It is located in the southern hemisphere of the Americas, bordered by the Pacific Ocean, Peru, and Argentina.

Local Currency: The official currency in Chile is the Chilean peso (CLP). Although credit cards are widely accepted, carrying some cash is recommended for purchases at artisan markets and similar places. It is advisable to exchange money at official exchange offices or banks and to verify the exchange rate before receiving the receipt or voucher.
